Xiaomi, oltre allo Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, ha presentato lo Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. Questo nuovo smartphone, sebbene possa assomigliare al fratello nella parte anteriore, in quella posteriore presenta una dual camera, la prima ad essere implementata sulla serie Redmi.

La fotocamera, che ricorda molto quella già vista su iPhone X, è composta da una sensore principale Sony IMX486 da 12 megapixel mentre l’altro, marchiato Samsung, è da 5 Megapixel. A completare la dotazione hardware troviamo il nuovo processore Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 con GPU Adreno 509 ed una batteria da 4000 mah. Il software che muove il tutto è l’immancabile MIUI 9 aggiornata ad Android 8 Oreo.

Le varianti in vendita sono tre, la più economica da 3 GB di RAM e 32 GB di memoria interna, una versione intermedia da 4 GB di RAM e 64 GB di storage, e la variante “top” da 6/64 GB (Quest’ultimo modello senza Banda 20). In tutti e tre i modelli è prevista la possibilità di espandere la memoria tramite microSD rinunciando alla possibilità di utilizzare il secondo slot SIM.
