Pare dunque che le indiscrezioni cricolate nei giorni scorsi si sono rivelate corrette, Huawei ha davvero lanciato una versione economica del proprio Ascend P6, vale a dire il nuovo Huawei Ascend G6.
Il Huawei Ascend G6 è un smartphone economico con supporto reti 4G LTE, che verrà venduto inzialmente in Inghilterra e poi su altri mercati, è un device con display da 4.5 pollici in risoluzione qHD 960×540, processore quad-core da 1,2 Ghz, fotocamera posteriore da 8 mega-pixel ed una anteriore (per fare quelle selfie che vanno tanto di moda oggi) da 5 mega-pixel.
Il sistema operativo adottato è Android in versione 4.3 Jelly Bean, ovviamente però sottoforma di Emotion UI.

HUAWEI Ascend G6 4G brings color to life with its crystal clear 4.5-inch qHD 960 x 540 LCD display and 245PPI. At 7.85mm slim and weighing 115g, Ascend G6 4G builds upon the ‘double C’ design of the popular Ascend P6 smartphone and is available in black with light gunmetal grey or rose gold highlights, or in white with pink or champagne gold[2]. HUAWEI Ascend G6 also comes in a 7.5mm 3G version available in black, white, pink, gold or blue.
Running on a powerful quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and robust 2000 mAh lithium polymer battery with up to 30 percent power saving, HUAWEI Ascend G6 4G is 4G LTE-enabled for faster and more reliable connectivity.
