Lo Xiaomi Mi 9 è l’ultimo top di gamma presentato dalla casa cinese. Successore dello Xiaomi Mi 8, ne riprende gli stilemi estetici migliorandoli sotto vari aspetti. Abbiamo un pannello in formato 19.5:9 con risoluzione Full HD+ dalle dimensioni di 6.39 pollici e soprattutto in tecnologia Samsung AMOLED con notch a goccia. Sotto la scocca troviamo il nuovissimo processore di casa Qualcomm, lo Snapdragon 855 con GPU Adreno 640 coadiuvato da 6/8 GB di RAM e 64/128 GB di memoria interna UFS 2.1 non espandibile.
Il comparto multimediale è caratterizzato dalla nuova tripla fotocamera con sensori Sony IMX586+Samsung S5K3M5+Sony IMX481 da 48+12+16 mega-pixel con apertura f/1.75-2.2-2.2. Al contrario del passato, è stato aggiunto un nuovo sensore grandangolare con cui avere prospettive differenti negli scatti. Il lettore d’impronte è integrato nel display ed è presente anche il Face Unlock tramite la fotocamera frontale da 20 mega-pixel.
La batteria che alimenta il dispositivo è una 3300 mAh dotata di ricarica rapida Quick Charge 4 ma soprattutto per la prima volta della ricarica wireless a 20W. A muovere il tutto ci pensa la tipica interfaccia di casa Xiaomi, la MIUI 10 basata su Android 9.0 Pie.
