Huawei Mate X2 è il nuovo smartphone pieghevole del colosso cinese, un dispositivo premium che cambia stile rispetto al predecessore introducendo un display pieghevole verso l’interno (con un secondo panello all’esterno, da utilizzare quando il device è “chiuso”). Questo dispositivo è stato lanciato sul mercato cinese febbraio 2021, con un display OLED da 8″ con risoluzione 2480 x 2200 pixel; il pannello esterno è un’unità OLED da 6.45″ Full HD (2700 x 1160 pixel). In termini di dimensioni, il telefono misura 161,8 x 145,8 x 4,4/8,2 mm (da aperto) per un peso di 295 g.
A bordo trova spazio un chipset Kirin 9000, modulo proprietario a 5 nm con una CPU octa-core con frequenza di clock pari a 3,13 GHz. Non mancano, inoltre, 8 GB di RAM e 256/512 GB di memoria interna. Il lettore per le impronte digitali è posizionato di lato, mentre sotto la scocca trova spazio una batteria da 4.500 mAh con supporto alla ricarica rapida da 55W. A bordo abbiamo la EMUI 11, basata su Android 10 (e con HMS).
Osservando il comparto fotografico posteriore di Huawei Mate X2 troviamo quattro sensori, con configurazione 50+12+8+16 MP. Frontalmente, invece, abbiamo una selfie camera da 16 MP.
