L’Honor V8 è un phablet prodotto nel 2016 ed appartenente alla categoria di fascia alta.
Dal punto di vista del design, abbiamo un device con scocca in metallo, caratterizzato da un’unità display IPS da 5.7 pollici di diagonale con risoluzione Full HD/Quad HD (a seconda della variante), curvatura 2.5D ed una densità di pixel di 386/515 PPI.
Lato hardware l’Honor V8 è mosso dal processore octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 con architettura ARMv8-A a 64 bit, caratterizzato da 2 cluster: 2 x 2.5 GHz A72 + 4 x 1.8 GHz A53. La parte grafica è affidata alla GPU ARM Mali-T880 MP4, mentre lato memorie troviamo 4 GB di RAM LPDDR3 e 32/64 GB di memoria interna espandibile tramite micro SD fino a 128 GB.
Il device è caratterizzato da una doppia fotocamera posteriore Sony IMX186 RGB + B&W da 12 mega-pixel, autofocus laser + PDAF, apertura f/2.2 e doppio flash LED dual tone. La fotocamera anteriore, invece, è caratterizzata da un sensore Sony IMX179 da 8 mega-pixel con apertura f/2.4.
Posteriormente è presente un lettore d’impronte digitali.
E’ presente una versione con supporto dual SIM 4G LTE Cat.4, con assenza della banda 20, affiancato da una connessione Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Dual Band, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC (a seconda della variante), GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS e BeiDou.
L’autonomia è garantita da una batteria da 3500 mAh non removibile con ricarica rapida 9V 2A.
